A warm welcome to our nursery class!

I hope from looking through the pages you will get a sense of the inclusive, friendly and happy place Shavington is.

Our nursery class is in a bright open-plan space for children aged 3-4. The nursery class room is set up for learning through play, with a role play, small world toys, story corner, block play, mark making, creative area and a mud kitchen amongst others.

At Shavington Primary School and Nursery we aim to build an exceptional school community – unlocking potential and embracing opportunities. At Shavington, confidence is built from the early years with children introduced to the four learning muscles of resilience, relationships, resourcefulness and reflection. Adults nurture the best from each child and build strong relationships ensuring children can thrive because they feel safe and listened to.

Children learn to welcome diversity and make everyone welcome. They build strong relationships built on kindness and are given opportunities to take part in new activities.

Staff are given high quality professional development that is evidence based and implemented carefully. They are encouraged to lead at every level and embrace opportunities. They feel valued and as such encourage the passion and excitement in the pupils.

Parents and the community are at the heart of Shavington’s success. We aim for them to feel valued and listened to, confident that their child is getting the best education right from their first day at Nursery!

It is a pleasure to welcome you tand we look forward to working in partnership with you.
