Welcome to Shavington Primary School

Summer Term

Welcome back to all our children and their families. We all hope you enjoyed your Easter Holidays and that the Easter bunny visited!!

We are all really excited to be back for our Summer Term. It's another action paked one! For our year 6 children it's their last term with us before their big move on to high school. This term will be busy for them with SAT's,
a London residential, school productions, Prom and other exiting enterprising activities.

Our Year 1 children will take their phonic screening test and Year 2 will be continuing to work hard in preapartion for their SAT's and looking forward to their residential to LLandudno.

It's also the Term we welcome our new children and their families for their visits into Reception ready for September next year, with our Teddy bears picnic and the term we work on transitions for all children in all classes as we head towards the end of another academic year.

For all our other year groups it’s also a busy term filled with visitors and visits, our focus on realtionship education (Yrs 1-6 using the work of the Christopher Winters project), residentials for some classes and lots of exciting opportunities for learning.

We look forward to the last term of this academic year with increased challenge and oportunities for all.

Our School

We are a happy school where children enjoy learning and are given every opportunity to succeed. We are proud of our children and value hard work and enjoyment. We aim to create the right environment for our children to learn. Through our vibrant and creative curriculum we strive for all our children to achieve their full potential and develop the necessary skills and confidence to succeed in their lives.

We have a committed and dedicated team at Shavington Primary School who work very hard to make sure that our children achieve and succeed. We plan careful learning experiences for the children that include residential visits and exciting activities that ensure the children engage with their own learning and develop the whole child.

We benefit from having a fantastic building and substantial grounds. In the outdoor areas of our school we have many fun and exciting areas for the children to use during playtimes and lunchtimes; from our den building area to our climbing frames, the children have plenty to keep them happy.
