Year 4L 2019 - 2020
Hello everyone! We hope you have had a fantastic Easter break and are raring to go in the Summer term!
Our topic this term will be The Ancient Greeks!
Over the course of the term, we will be exploring the impact that the Ancient Greeks have had on the modern world.
As well as learning all about what life was life for people living in Ancient Greece, we will be enjoying some Greek foods and creating some Greek delicacies, and learning about democracy.
All of you will be given a new topic homework plan and this will be stuck into your Home School Diary. There will also be a copy attached on our Year 3 web page when the homework grid is completed.
We also continue to ask you to enjoy reading regularly at home, work on your times tables and we may set additional maths tasks which can be completed through the online using 'Sumdog'. These activities will continue to be recorded in Home School Diaries.
There will also be weekly spellings given out each week on a Monday and tested the following Monday.
This term we will have PE with Mr Slaney from Premier Sports who will work with us on Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon. All children need red shorts, pumps and trainers (outdoors). The new coloured T-shirts (one for each of our houses) for PE can be ordered from the school's online uniform supplier. Girls will need to tie long hair back and cover any earrings. PE kits will also stay in school all term now.
