Happy Easter :)
I hope you are coming back all refreshed for an exciting new term in year 4. I cannot wait to hear about what you have done over the holidays.
This term our topic focus will be Robots. We look forward to exploring different robots and how they work, it will be a really fun topic to end our school year!
In our english sessions, we will be looking at the book 'The Wild Robot' by Peter Brown. It is a great read!!
A copy of the homework for this term can be found at the bottom of this page under 'Files to download'.
I will be asking the to children keep a record of when they have completed a task by getting a parent/or guardian to sign and date the box.
The children will be given weekly on a Monday and tested on the following Monday.
I will upload a copy of the list to the 'Spellings' tab found at the top of our class page.
Children are encouraged to continue reading at home and keep a record of this in their journals. This can be a book they have chosen from the school library or one that they are reading at home. I will be checking the children's journals to see if they are keeping their reading record up-to-date.
Every Wednesday afternoon, Madame Sharpe will be teaching our French session. The children may be given homework in this session to complete and hand in to Madame Sharpe the following week. This is usually given out fortnightly.
PE is every Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. Children will need both their indoor and outdoor kit with them at all times, these are to stay in school for the whole week. Both sessions will be taught by Mr Bentham.
All children have been provided with a school water bottle. These need to be kept in school during the week and taken home to be washed on a Friday.
Many thanks for your continued support
Mr J Hazeldine
