Hello everyone! Happy New Year! Welcome back to for the Spring term. I hope you have had a fantastic Christmas break and are ready to continue with your super learning.

Our topic this term will be Iron Man by Ted Hughes!

Over the course of the term, we  will be exploring the Industrial Revolution and the impact that it had on the  everyday lives of people living at that time in history.

As well as lots of writing opportunities, we will also be building fairground rides out of recyclable materials and creating a fictitious village which we will create a set of laws for.

Don't forget that this is also the term that we will be going on our Year 3 Residential! We can't wait!

All of you will be given a new topic homework plan and this will be stuck into your Home School Diary. There will also be a copy attached on our Year 3 web page when the homework grid is completed.

We also continue to ask you to enjoy reading regularly at home, work on your times tables and we may set additional maths tasks which can be completed through the online using 'Sumdog'. These activities will continue to be recorded in Home School Diaries.

There will also be weekly spellings given out each week on a Monday and tested the following Monday.

PE Days
This term we will  have PE with Mr Slaney from Premier Sports who will work with us on Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon. All children need red shorts, pumps and trainers (outdoors). The new coloured T-shirts (one for each of our houses) for PE can be ordered from the school's online uniform supplier. Girls will need to tie long hair back and cover any earrings. PE kits will also stay in school all term now.
