Useful Information

The children have P.E lessons every Thursday and will need their named P.E kit. Their P.E kits need to be in School on the first day of each term and the children will bring them home on the last day of each term so they can be washed.

We appreciate you sending your children with spare clothes.  However, we ask that these are kept in a different bag to their P.E kit.  Less clothing will support your child to change easier, quicker and more independently.

The children have their own School water bottle which they have access to all day. Each Friday the children will bring these home for them to be rinsed although the water bottles don't like dish washers because they melt them. These water bottles must then be returned on Monday.

Your child needs to have their book bag in School everyday to ensure we can change their book regularly, send activities home to support your child's learning and communicate events and information. Children's books will be changed once a week on their reading day when they will receive two new books.

Summer Term

Wow! Your child has nearly completed their first year at school and we will now begin to get the children ready for Year 1. How the time has flown. This term our topic is going to be focusing on 'Growing' We will start off by planning activities based around growing of plants. We will be looking closely at the woodland area and how that begins to change as the summer months roll in. We will also be growing our own plants in school and will be cooking some of these vegetables on the camp fire. The children will then move on to look at minibeasts and life cycles and how these grow before looking at our own bodies and those of babies and adults. We have planned many interesting activities both indoors and out based on this theme. To see some of these activities look at our medium term planning below.
