Our nursery class is a teacher-led environment in a bright open-plan space aimed at children aged 3-4. The nursery class room is packed full of exciting new things for children to discover, from role play areas, to our reading garden and outdoor environment that children can access at any time of the day.

Our wonderful staff are committed to providing a fun, nurturing environment where children feel cared for, and can safely discover their abilities, confidence and independence, where they can lead their own learning and play and safely discover the world around them.

Nursery class is led by a Teacher and two Teaching Assistants which means it offers a more structured learning plan, based through play, child led activities and supervised risk taking. Children are encouraged to participate in a range of stimulating, fun learning activities to prepare them for school including phonics, sounds time, pencil control and much much more. Our Nursery Class ensures that every child gains the most from their nursery experience and helps make their journey into reception an easy and happy one.

On Monday mornings, we now do PE in the hall after snack time. The children don't need a PE kit, however we do ask that they wear sensible clothes to run around in. We play games in PE learning skills such as moving through a space, balancing, jumping, rolling, throwing and catching.
