Year 1 blog 14.6.16

On Friday we celebrated the Queen's 90th birthday by dressing up in red, white and blue.  Bunting was hung around the school, we had flags, balloons and a party in the playground.  Thankfully the weather remained dry and we were all able to eat our lunches together in the lower playground.

On Monday we had a visit from some birds of prey.  Mike introduced all of the birds to us.  There was one very grumpy owl that was called Victor.  Some of us were very brave and we held one of the birds.  This week we are going to be doing some extended writing.  The visit from the birds has inspired us to do some lovely work.
