Year 6 w.b. 29.01.18

Date: 3rd Feb 2018 @ 2:27pm

This week we having been preparing to write a newspaper article using all of the features we have learnt throughout the week. We have looked at the use of bold, catchy headlines; the use of orientation and opening statements to catch the attention of the reader; the details that we would include in the main body of the text and then our closing statement.

For our maths work, we have been working on multiplying and dividing decimal numbers by whole numbers. We have used informal and formal methods to do this and have then used the methods we’ve learnt to help us to solve problems.

We have thought about what being a Christian means and how this links to choices. We then looked at the values of the Christian religion and spent time finding the definitions of these values.

We have spent time this week setting ourselves new targets for our Investors in Pupils work.
