Year 1 blog week beginning 14.12.15

Date: 20th Dec 2015 @ 8:05pm

This has been an amazing week at Shavington Primary school.  On Monday we walked to St John's church in Shavington and we had our KS1 Carol service.  We sung some of the songs from our Nativity play "Babushka" and we spent time thinking about how we can share Christmas with other people.

On Tuesday we had our very first Shavington Big Nativity.  This had been organised by the two Ministers in Shavington and by staff in the school.  The drizzle did not dampen our spirits.  The evening started with cakes and mulled wine.  We then moved outside and retold the Christmas story - using the outdoor classroom as a stable.  There are plans to repeat this event next year.

Wednesday was the day when we had our Christmas lunch and then we had our Christmas party.  Please look at  the Year 1 Gallery for photographs of the party.

On Thursday we went to the Pantomime in Crewe.  It was very funny and we enjoyed the ride on the coach as well.

Finally we wore our Christmas jumpers on Friday.  There are some pictures of us modelling our jumpers in the Gallery.

An exhausting but fantastic week.  Have a great holiday and we will see you in 2016!
