Week Beginning 3rd July

We just never stop in Reception! We have had another super busy week!

We had the most amazing trip to Delamere Forest! We all got stuck in and had lots of fun! We enjoyed hunting for minibeasts with Ranger Ben and found lots of woodlice, some snails, centipedes, worms and a beetle! We handled them with care using the tools we were provided with and placed them in our trays so we could look at them closely before gently releasing them back into their habitat.

After all that exlporing we worked up quite an appetite and enjoyed eating our lunch before we went searching for natural objects in the woodland with Ranger Nicola. We listened carefully to her instructions and had to find a pinecone and some sticks in order to make a snail! We rolled the clay we were given into a sausage and then added his pinecone shell and stick antennas in order to create our masterpiece!

At the end of our day we were very tired and excited to share what we had been up to with our grown ups at home. Miss Stott, Mrs Earl, Mrs Mills and Mrs Chapman were super proud of us! Don't forget to look at Tapestry to see what we got up to!

We look forward to another fun and busy week were we will be reflecting upon how much we have grown during our time in Reception. We will be talking about the moments and achievements that have made us proud!
