Week Beginning 29th February 2016

Date: 3rd Mar 2016 @ 10:41am

This week in Year 4 we have been very busy!!

In literacy we have been planning and making diary entries looking for key features. We have written a diary in the role of Lila imagining what it would be like during her climb up the mountain.

In Maths we have been learning about co-ordinates. We have been plotting points on a grid and making different polygons. We have been moving shapes across the grid and finding the new co-ordinates. Remember across the hall and up the stairs!

In topic this week we have spent time thinking about our Mothers and making some crafts to take home for Mothering Sunday. We hope all our mums have a lovely day!

On Monday, some of year 4 went to the Young Voices event to represent the school. They had to learn lots of songs with actions and did an amazing job!! There were beatboxers there too!

On Wednesday, we went to visit the Catalyst Discovery Centre in Widnes and had an amazing day! We spent time exploring the three museums, Scientrific, Birth of an Industry and Observatory. We spent time in the museums completing a trail of activities. We then made our own volcanoes erupt using bicarbonate soda and vinegar, we explored different types of rocks and made our own fossils to take home!!
