Week Beginning 26th September

The children have settled into Reception so well and we are very proud of them.

We've been very busy in Reception over the last couple of weeks. We have been impressing everyone with how much we know and we have been enjoying our different lessons. We are currently learning all about camping. We have eagerly shared our own camping expereinces in Literacy and have enjoyed helping our class teddy Gus get ready for his camping adventure; he gets in a right old muddle! In Maths we have been showing off our counting skills by counting items you might see on a campsite. In our outside area we've actually spotted a tent! We've had great fun sitting in the tent with our friends pretending to eat sauages.

It was lovely to see so many of you at the Phonics workshop and Meet the Teacher. Could we please remind those parents who haven't already done so to label their children's clothing as there are a number of items of clothing with no names. This makes it incredibly difficult for children and their clothing to be reunited. Any un-named items of clothing will go in KS1 lost property at the end of each day.

We are looking forward to another fun filled camping week where we will be thinking about camping in all weather.
