This week we have been learning about converting metric measurements of Mass, Length and Capacity. We have been focusing on decimal, fraction and measured equivalents and how we would recognise them in real-life. This then led us onto imperial measurements and where we might use ounces, inches or gallons; including how to convert into metric measurements. In English, we have been continuing with our writing about Mexico. We have thought carefully about the food and different animals you might discover in Mexico. Next we thought about the 'Traditions' in the country and in particular, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

As part of our Personal, Social, Heath, Citzenship Education we have begun our Christopher Winter's project. We have discussed how our body changes during Puberty and the different stages we may encounter. We have taken part in lots of practical activities and have answered most questions which were asked. We have advised children that if they have any question about the topic, whether they think it is big or small, they can approach an adult they trust and fee comfortable to talk to so that they don't have to worry about the changes or feel confused.

It was our class assembly on Wednesday. I was extremely proud of all the children as they worked hard on learning their lines and show-casing what a fantastic year we have had. Thank you to all those who came to watch and stayed for a coffee and a chat.
