What a busy week we have had!

It was Internet Safety Day on Tuesday and we learnt about how to keep our personal information private whilst surfing the net. We discussed how photos can reveal more than we might think and then accessed the school pupil blogs, ensuring that we thought carefully before we pressed post.

In English we have been investigating the myths and legends of Ancient Egypt, in particular the myth of creation. In order to understand it better we used drama and role play to explore the characters feelings, thoughts and motives. In maths, we have been converting fractions to decimals. We have used a range of resources to support us with this tricky process. There are lots of games online to support your learning. In R.E, we are focusing on Hinduism and have looked at the story of Rama and Sita. We will be looking further into how this story has shaped the festival of Diwali. We have become historians this week, using enquiry methods to answer the question "What was life like as an Ancient Egyptian Farmer?". We have used both the Internet and books to help retrieve the important information. Our My World Project group have visited Reaseheath College this week and have met a range of inquisitive animals.
