This week we have had lots of exciting activities crammed in! We began with our Art, finishing off our amazing Ancient Egyptian portraits. In English, we have been exploring how tenses are used in language and how we differentiate from past, present and future. In Maths, we are coming to the end of our decimal focus and have been creating and solving real life problems which would involve decimal numbers. In R.E, we have begun exploring how Diwali represents the story of Rama and Sita by demonstrating that light triumphs over evil. On Friday, the local Fire Brigade came to visit us and we took part in "Smoke Busters". We leant how to create a safe emergency exit from a burning building and discussed how we should respond in certain situations. We then went outside to a smoke tent, where we imagined we were in a smoke-filled building and the techniques we should use to get ourselves out safely and quickly. We also had a look around the Fire Engine and even managed to go inside!
