Thursday 11th January

Date: 11th Jan 2018 @ 7:00pm

In our RE lesson today we learnt about the Christian story of Creation.  This story is also special to Jews.  The Bible tells the story and describes how God made the world in 6 days and then God rested.  The children were amazed that God created everything in such a short time as they had predicted that it would take millions of years to make the world.  We played pass the parcel and each time we removed a wrapper we found a picture of something that was made by God.  Henry won the prize in the middle but he shared the jelly snakes with everyone in the class.  Next week we will be learning about the Jewish day of rest which is called Shabbatt.  This is on a Saturday.  Jews think that if God needed a day of rest after creating the world then they need a day of rest too.
