Week beginning 20/6/16

Date: 26th Jun 2016 @ 4:57pm

These last two weeks since Burwardsley have been packed full of different events that have been really enjoyable.

We had a wonderful Welsh Birds of Prey visit last week that was fantastic. Inspired by this visit, we looked at a poem by Tennyson (The Eagle) and created our own poetry mirroring his style and choice of words. These poems are now on 3D birds outside our classroom and look wonderful.

We have also been looking at a British artist called Andy Goldsworthy and have been outside this week collecting natural objects to create our own outdoor art sculptures. These are on the wall in our classroom and look great - have a look at the pictures below!

Finally, I think it's fair to say that the Year 3 assembly was a huge success this week! The children were absolutely amazing - every single one of them! The staff really felt that it showed off our class perfectly. They are a fantastic group who always work as a team and encourage one another to be the best they can be. Well done Year 3!

The photos from the assembly are on the Calendar, just click on the Year 3 assembly event (on the 21 June) and there lots of photos to look at.

The children offered some lovely quotes about the assembly and I have included a few below:

" Year 3's Got Talent is the best show I have ever seen!" M.N.

"I liked doing the assembly and my favourite part was the golden buzzer" E.S-A.

"I loved my part in the assembly" C.M.

"I really enjoyed it!" I.H.and G.S.
