In year 3 this week we have been writing setting descriptions based on our book ‘The Wild Robot’. We spent one lesson creating our very own soundscapes using musical instruments and body parts to help us imagine what Roz would have heard as she entered the wilderness! We worked really hard at putting adverbs into our sentences!
In maths we have been focusing on comparing fractions. We had an exciting lesson outside and got to play fraction golf to help us! We can now order fractions and use the correct mathematical symbol to show if fractions are greater than or less than!
In topic we continued to look at the jobs robots do but this time with a focus on robots on a mission! We thought about the lifesaving jobs that robots can do instead of humans. We then got to think about and design our own robot that can do a job that is lifesaving or too dangerous for a human to do!
